Admission

Eligible Criteria

Candidates seeking admission to the B. Ed Course in a subject/stream will have to satisfy the academic eligibility applicable to the subject/stream

English: B.A Degree with 45% marks in aggregate or B.A/B.Sc with 50% marks for Part I English and not less than 50% marks for Master’s Degree in English Language and Literature.

Mathematics: B.Sc Degree with Mathematics /Statistics/Applied Statistics as main with 45% marks in aggregate.

Natural Science: B. Sc Degree with Botany/Zoology/Biochemistry/B. Sc Plant Science/(Home Science with Zoology or Botany as subsidiaries) Biotechnology/Microbiology with 45% aggregate.

Physical Science: B. Sc Degree with Physics/Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry as main with 45% marks in aggregate.

Social Science: B.A Degree with History main with 45% marks in aggregate or B. A Degree with Geography/Politics/Economics/Sociology/Psychology/Philosophy under Part III and with 45% marks in aggregate.

Students admitted to Management Quota are selected from a rank list prepared , based on their marks secured for the qualifying examination.

 Academic Year

The course spans over two Semester, comprising of an internship programme of two phases.

Orientation Programme

The college offers the prospective teachers an orientation to the course during the first week of the course.

Initiation Ceremony

The teachers are provided moral and spiritual support as a morale and confidence boosters before the teaching pratice sessions.

Internal Evaluation

Class test, Unit tests, Assignments, Seminars, Practicum Presentation, Mock Viva-Voce, Model Examination in each Semester are conducted to equip the trainees.
