Far from the hurry and bustle of city life, in the cosy confines of St. Thomas Nagar stand the St. Thomas Schools, three of the premier institutions of Kerala; these co- educational schools, managed by the Mar Thoma Church Educational Society, Thiruvananthapuram uphold the noble objective of imparting quality education to the students. What began as a humble venture by a few innovative minds in 1966 soon grew from strength-to-strength and branched out into three separate educational institutions. Now we have St. Thomas Residential School (estd. 1966) which follows the ICSE syllabus, St. Thomas Higher Secondary School (estd. 1984) adhering to the State syllabus and St. Thomas Central School (estd. 1990) conforming to the CBSE pattern. Together, these three schools have come to be regarded as the byword for excellence in education.
