The 22nd Annual Day celebrations were held in the school premises on 10th January 2012 at 4:30 pm. It commenced with a prayer by the school choir. Dr K S Radhakrishnan, Chairman KPSC inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp. The secretary (MTCES) Mr P M Abraham, Treasurer (MTCES) Mr Mathew John, Chaplain Rev Joseph John , Principal Mr George Oommen , Head Boy Cherian Reji and Head Girl Vandana Sreekumar were on the dais. The Head Boy welcomed the gathering and Head Girl proposed the Vote of Thanks. The principal highlighted the achievements of the school in all areas in the school annual report. The Chief Guest in his address commended the principal and teachers on providing a conducive atmosphere to the students for all–round development. He requested the parents not to thrust their wishes and aspirations on their children and never to compare them with their peers. He emphasized the role of the school in training children not only to succeed but to face adversity and failure with courage. He then distributed the prizes to the winners. Many dignitaries including the heads of the sister institutions graced the occasion. A colourful variety entertainment programme followed. The Welcome dance was a vibrant blend of Kerala and Odissi style of dance which set the mood for the festivities. This was followed by the primary programme depicting the various ‘bhava’ in interesting styles. Keraleeyam projected the evolution and development of Kerala, its tradition and customs. The Group song was a rendition of songs in Punjab, Gujarati, Bengali, Malayalam and Hindi signifying National Integration. The middle schools came up with the drama which made us sit up and watch the engrossing performance by the students. The juniors of Std XI presented a touching slideshow as their mark of affection to their seniors of Std XII. The mime by the senior boys ‘Inheritance of Loss’ passed an apt message of conservation of nature for existence of man. The curtain came down with the energetic and rhythm of dance by the 11th Std boys. The compering was done effectively by a team of students attired to perfection.
